COMM 222 - Podcasting & Radio Production

Credits: 3
This course introduces students to the equipment and process necessary to produce a radio and/or podcast program. Through broadcasting facilities at SCCC, students acquire basic skills to perform as announcers, radio newscasters, onair personalities, news and sports reporters, and voiceover specialists. Training will involve analysis of commercial and documentarystyle programs to inspire style and format while acquiring practical skills necessary to create a quality audio production. Students will have access to studio equipment and editing software throughout the semester in order to create content that airs on SCCCs radio station and/or podcast streaming networks.
