ARTA 220 - Ceramics II

This course affords the student the opportunity to extend his/her knowledge and understanding of ceramics processes at the intermediate level. Included are advanced hand building techniques in conjunction with wheelthrowing and molding. In addition, students will be expected to learn to fire kilns to meet their individually predetermined outcomes. The development of personal expression in this medium is emphasized through group discussion, critiques and resources outside the classroom. Offered through the SCCC/PVCC Alliance, this course will utilize the PVCC Ceramics Studio. Prerequisite: ARTA175 or Permission of Instructor Lab Fee Required Lab Fee Required.
