BCST 103 - Construction, Safety, Tools & Equipment

Credits: 2
This course is designed to identify, reduce, and eliminate constructionrelated hazards by studying safety regulations and agencies. Students will survey hand and power tools typically used to perform construction work, the maintenance of tools and equipment, and emerging tool technology. Emphasis is on OSHA safety standards, hand and power tools and equipment safety, rigging, communication, health standards, confined space entry, hazardous materials, and right to know. Co requisite: BCST 101 Introduction to Building Construction
