PHYS 108 - The Physics & Technology of Clean Energy Credits: 4 This course is designed to explore the approaches to energy that are more sustainable for the earth and its people. Students will learn the design and specific uses of appropriate clean energy systems. Topics include energy, electricity, biofuels, wind energy, hydroelectric power, solar power, connection to the grid and the human and environmental effects of energy use. Lab exercises and field trips will supplement the theory presented. Prerequisite: MATH017 or MATH023 or Proficiency on the College Placement Test Lab Fee Required Lab Fee Required.
