ROBT 215 - Robotics Enabling Technologies

This course covers the theory of operation of transducers, sensors, and data acquisition devices and techniques. Microprocessorbased control of actuators such as stepper motors, dc motors, hydraulic actuators and muscle wire as applied to robotics applications is presented. Physical operation of sensors, computer/transducer interfacing techniques, and processing of acquired data is analyzed, as well as the use of that data in the control of external actuators.
