THEA 245 - Stage Management

Credits: 3
This course provides an introduction to the elements of play production and direction. Students explore planning, management, and technical aspects of production. The directing process will also be covered through script analysis, readings and scene work. Emphasis will be on the process of direction and management in play and character analysis, conceptualizing, casting, rehearsing, preforming, and precisely communicating with actors, designers and all members of a production. Students will gain practical experience working in a production. Prerequisite: THEA102, THEA130, THEA135, THEA230, THEA235, and THEA240Lab fee is required. Lab fee is required.
