This is a high intermediate communication course for nonnative speakers of English. Students will further study: the International Phonetic Alphabet, stress, rhythm, and intonation patterns of American English. Emphasis will be on developing effective communication skills for the successful transition into an academic or professional environment. Prerequisite: ESOL086
