BCST 102 - Intro. to Building Construction Credits: 3 This introductory course provides students with a foundational understanding of the building construction trades, exploring the essential concepts, materials, tools, and techniques used in the construction industry. Students will learn about construction safety practices, blueprint reading, basic carpentry, masonry, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as the roles and responsibilities of various trades professionals. Emphasis is placed on hands-on learning, teamwork, and problem-solving to prepare students for entry-level positions or further study in specialized construction fields.
