ESOL 097 - Communication & Presentation Skills for ESOL Students

This is an advanced course for nonnative speakers of English in public speaking. Emphasis will be placed on speech organization, effective delivery, public presentations, and critical listening skills for effective note taking in the academic environment. A strong emphasis is placed on student performance to help the student gain speech practice, and develop selfconfidence in addressing a variety of audiences in multiple speaking situations. Prerequisite: ESOL086 and ESOL087
