OPTC 202 - Optical Fiber Manufacturing

This course will build upon the knowledge gained from the introductory course to provide students with the technical skills required to effectively perform manufacturing processes commonly used in the Fiber Optic Industry. This course will focus on providing hands-on experience in a real-world manufacturing setting. Students will acquire the skills needed to draw optical fiber, analyze fiber characteristics, and perform general manufacturing practices such as preventative maintenance and troubleshooting control systems.
