MEDA 101 - Human Biology and Medical Terminology I Credits: 3 This comprehensive course is the first part of a two-part curriculum that uses a system approach toward teaching the structure, basic function, and diseases of the human body in states of wellness and illness. The students will have the opportunity to explore a formal study of medical language with an emphasis placed on building a medical vocabulary such as common medical terms of major disease processes, diagnostic procedures, laboratory tests, abbreviations, drugs, and treatment modalities using the following various word elements: prefixes, suffixes, and root words.
