This course is designed to familiarize the student with the general principles and unifying concepts of biological science. Topics include scientific investigations, the physical and chemical properties of living matter, cell structure and function, energy transformations, genetics, evolution and diversity. Prerequisite: MATH040 or the approved score on the College Level Math Placement Test Lab Fee Required Lab Fee Required.
